⭐ RGV Traveling Memorial & Tribute to Victims Program⭐
The RGV Traveling Memorial is inspired by the legacy of the original Murder Wall, created in 1987 by Nancy Ruhe-Munch and the National Organization of Parents of Murdered Children. That national memorial traveled across the United States as a sacred symbol of remembrance, healing, and justice for families affected by homicide.
Building on that legacy, RGVFFOMC proudly unveiled the Regional Traveling Memorial on September 25, 2025. With full support from our Board of Directors and survivor families, this memorial brings a powerful and permanent reminder to the Rio Grande Valley that every life stolen by violence matters — and every family deserves compassion, truth, and justice.
RGVFFOMC created the theme, which guides every part of this program:
• To Honor: Every engraved plaque affirms that our loved ones lived, mattered, and will never be forgotten.
• To Heal: Survivors find strength and unity in shared remembrance.
• To Seek Justice: Each name calls us to truth, accountability, and prevention.
Displayed in a 36-Perpetual Silver Frame, the RGV Traveling Memorial moves throughout our region to unite families, foster healing, and ensure every story is never forgotten.
